4th Annual BCLFSC Holiday Pops Skating Exhibition & VEAP Benefit
December 11, 2011
Many thanks to the skaters, families, pros, Board members, and volunteers who helped put together a great event!
This year, we generated 28 grocery bags full of dry and canned goods for VEAP. In addition, you contributed $1,940 to VEAP, bringing our four-year cumulative giving to $7,182. These funds will help provide food for families and toys for children during the holiday season.

Coco Kaminski placed 4th in the Intermediate Championship event, qualifying for the 2012 Junior National Championships to be held in East Lansing, Michigan in December. She earned her spot, scoring a total of 86.21 points, winning out over 80 other strong Intermediate Ladies.
We wish the best of luck to her in December!!



Izzy Chapman placed 1st in the Pre-Preliminary Championship event. Congratulations!

Sopie Chez earned a spot in the Pre-Prelminary Championship event, and placed 5th. Way to go!

Haley Voltz placed 4th in Junior Ladies - Test Track!

Laurel Smalley earned a spot in the Preliminary Championship event and placed 9th. Congrats!

Team Braemar Junior Team
Wins Bronze at World Challenge Cup!


Team Braemar USA earned the bronze medal at the 2011 Junior World Challenge Cup for synchronized skating on Saturday, March 12. The team was in fifth place out of 19 world teams after the short program on Friday, March 11.

The skaters, representing the Edina, Minn.-based Braemar-City of Lakes Figure Skating Club, earned the highest difficulty base value of the event, 42.50. Their technical elements totaled 54.77, the highest of the competition.

The JWCC, which is sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU) was held in Neuchatel, Switzerland on Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12. Team Braemar was one of two teams from the United States that earned an opportunity to skate as Team USA at the JWCC.


Team Braemar - Novice & Junior Teams win Silver and Bronze at Sychro Nationals

Team Braemar Junior Team captured the silver medal in the Junior division at the 2011 USFS National Synchronized Skating Championship held March 3-4, 2011 in Ontario, California.

Team Braemar Novice Team captured the bronze medal in the Novice division.

National Skating Month Event
Event to be held January 28th, 2012 - 1:45-3:15pm

A great time was had by all on January 29th, 2011 at the event hosted by Braemar's figure-skating professionals and the Braemar City of Lakes FSC as part of United States Figure Skating's National Skating Month.

Braemar Figure Skating Club welcomes visiting coaches and their students to skate on Braemar's Club Ice.
