TEAM BRAEMAR TRYOUTS APRIL 18, 2011

Tryouts for 2011-2012 Team Braemar Synchronized Skating Teams will be held at Braemar Arena on Monday, April 18, 2011. Team Braemar USA wins Bronze at Junior Worlds!

Team Braemar USA earned the bronze medal at the 2011 Junior World Challenge Cup for synchronized skating on Saturday, March 12. The team was in fifth place out of 19 world teams after the short program on Friday, March 11.

Team Braemar used strong technical skating during its creative program to music from the soundtrack of Alice in Wonderland to earn second place in the free skate and the bronze medal overall. The team's free skate score was 116.46, just half a point behind Team Fintastic FINLAND in the segment. Their total score of 172.48 was three points short of second place, and put the team almost 10 points ahead of the fourth place team.

The skaters, representing the Edina, Minn.-based Braemar-City of Lakes Figure Skating Club, earned the highest difficulty base value of the event, 42.50. Their technical elements totaled 54.77, the highest of the competition.

The JWCC, which is sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU) was held in Neuchatel, Switzerland on Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12. Team Braemar was one of two teams from the United States that earned an opportunity to skate as Team USA at the JWCC.


Team Braemar - Novice & Junior Teams win Silver and Bronze at Sychro Nationals

Team Braemar Junior Team captured the silver medal in the Junior division at the 2011 USFS National Synchronized Skating Championship held March 3-4, 2011 in Ontario, California.

Team Braemar Novice Team captured the bronze medal in the Novice division.

Team Braemar's Junior Team who represented U.S. Figure Skating as Team USA 1 and earned the Silver Medal at the 2010 Spring Cup, held in Milan, Italy.

Team Braemar's Junior Team on their Gold Medal finish at the 2010 Midwestern Sectional Synchronized Skating Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The team took first place in both the short and long program, finishing first overall.
